The webinar on the EU-programme CERV the 16 November 2021 was a collaboration between MUCF – Myndigheten för ungdoms- och civilsamhällesfrågor och Europe Direct offices in Sweden.
Background
The EU-programme CERV stands for: Citizens, Equality, Rights and Values.
The goals of the program are:
– To promote equality and rights
– To promote EU-citizens’ engagement and participation
– To combat all forms of violence against children, young people, women and other groups at risk and to support and protect all direct and indirect victims of such violence.
CERV contains four different subprograms to strengthen organisations that work with human rights, childrens rights, democratic values, countering violence, migration and integration.
You as a non-profit organization, a social enterprise, a research or educational institution, a museum and twinning committee or public actors, such as municipalities, regions and authorities, can apply for this funding!

After the webinar, we have the following tips for you who work in Culture and youth organisations to think about before applying for grants from the CERV program:
There are multiple grants to apply for if you work with:
- promoting gender equality and increase democratic participation
- combating racism and discrimination
By:
- apply for grants to hold information and – or training initiatives
- apply for grants to run campaigns and discounts or advocacy work
