Join us at Kulturhuset and Upplev Europa on May 7th!
Europe Direct Stockholm will participate in the celebration of Europe Day, happening this year at Kulturhuset and Upplev Europa in Stockholm. Due to the date coinciding with Ascension Day, the celebration will take place on May 7th instead of May 9th this year, which is the actual date of Europe Day. Europe Direct Stockholm will be part of the information square and will have an exhibition table alongside our colleagues from Europe Direct Södertälje. Come meet us and ask every question you might have about the Europe Direct network, the EU, and the EU elections. Don’t miss out on our quiz, the winners will be awarded with prizes.
Together with the host organisation Intercult, Europe Direct Stockholm will also organise a seminar titled “Culture – the Heart of European Cooperation?” where we will explore the crucial role of culture in the EU through discussions on cultural diversity and its significance for European cooperation. Building on the #CulturalDealEU campaign, we will examine the current role of culture within the EU and future perspectives, with a focus on the EU elections. How can culture contribute and shape Europe’s future? The seminar will be held in Swedish.
Several other exciting organisations will participate at Kulturhuset, and a variety of seminars are scheduled! The theme of the day is the EU elections, which will take place in Sweden on June 9th this year.
